We should also note that our liberty in Christ should not cause others to stumble. Remember Timothy had to be told by Paul to drink some wine to settle his stomach (for your stomach's sake - ought to do a study in the greek on that some time to see what he was saying). Timothy had taken his not drinking to an extreme in order, I'm assuming, to not be a stumbling block. How about flaunting your wealth in the face of others? That could cause envy in the body couldn't it? That would be a sin then - enjoying your wealth too much so that others are put down by it... hummmm..Terryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09139278597939314142noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4207104964364625407.post-63026077702626274832008-05-24T18:27:00.000-04:002008-05-24T18:27:00.000-04:00i just want to say its not too big of a deal but i...i just want to say its not too big of a deal but it is something to be noted....it says the LOVE of money is the root of all kinds of evil.Steviehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01998904951450716372noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4207104964364625407.post-90857225630958607192008-05-23T12:34:00.000-04:002008-05-23T12:34:00.000-04:00I think drinking is like money. As long as we recognize the fact that many things that are ok in moderation can become sinful in excess, and live accordingly, I don't see a problem with it. After all, the Bible says that money is the root of all kinds of evil, yet I don't hear many people say you shouldn't earn or spend money.Timothy Bisulcahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01064622201910417943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4207104964364625407.post-70204047359547634702008-05-23T08:24:00.000-04:002008-05-23T08:24:00.000-04:00Hah, that's funny, I read Luke 7 last night and wa...Hah, that's funny, I read Luke 7 last night and was thinking the exact same thing.
